Dr. Desiree DelMonte, ThD “Change your thoughts and you change your world.” ----Norman Vincent Peale. Desiree’s professional academics include a doctorate in Theology from Holos University Graduate Seminary, Fair Grove, Missouri. Under the tutelage and supervision of Dr. C. Norman Shealy, M.D., Ph.D., she conducted the first randomized, controlled 6-month clinical study of the effects of Nutrienergetics Systems (NES) on stress. Interested in the energetic and transpersonal aspects of the person, her other coursework included therapies used to address siginficant emotional, mental, and spiritual counseling techniques to shift life’s bumps in the road. Ordained as a minister with the International Science of Mind Church for Spiritual Healing, Dr. DelMonte sees a variety of clients for myriad issues, compassionately and prudently providing spiritual support. Interested in mainstream psychotherapy, Desiree is currently enrolled in the Colorado School for Family Therapy for licensure as a marriage and family therapist (LMFT), certified addictions counselor (CAC). Proficient in EMDR therapy, sandplay, art therapy, and regression therapy, she continues to add to the tools and techniques in her repertoire in order to truly provide the best in counseling and psychotherapy. As a child and family investigator, a role prescribed in Colorado statutes that requires a judicial order of appointment Dr. DelMonte is especially adept at thoroughly investigating and making recommendations to the Court in the areas of Parenting Time and Parental Responsibility. Working in the corporate environment for over 29 years, Desiree has attained a number of professional certificates which include Project Management Professional (PMP), ITIL Foundations Certification, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) and Microst Certified Trainer (MCT). As a retired U.S. Navy veteran, Desiree has extensive experience with people from diverse cultures and ethnic backgrounds and has provided counseling and guidance to persons of all ages and religious backgrounds. For most of us, change is not easy. We live in the patterns we’ve created and find comfort in the familiar, no matter how difficult or dysfunctional. Desiree decided to become a psychotherapist because she felt that she could help facilitate change in people’s lives, mixing both traditional therapy with complementary therapy to provide clients with the tools to grow. Kris Kistler, CHt Kris is a Board Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist (CHt) with training based at the Denver School for Hynotherapy. A retired Firefighter and Paramedic, Kris brings a wealth of personal knowledge and experience in dealing first hand with both trauma victims and First Responder personnel to our practice. Kris has a deep interest in helping clients suffering from short or long term trauma memories, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and abuse in addition to helping clients with generalized anxiety, depression, stress reduction, smoking cessation, weight control, and sports performance enhancement/motivation. With over 10 years of forensics and investigative experience, Kris frequently works closely with law enforcement to provide services related to on-going investigations, and also to support victims and survivors of crime or catastrophic events in their emotional and physical healing process. Kris has worked as an industry leader in the Information Technology field for over 15 years providing services to many of the top Fortune 500 companies. In addition to his CHt Board Certification, Kris has achieved numerous other professional technical certifications which include Certified Information Security Systems Professional (CISSP), ITIL Foundations Certification, and SANS Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC). Kris can understand and empathize with today's busy professionals and parents trying to juggle work, school, and family against the stressors of daily living. With a background and specialized training in Cognitive Therapy, Reality Therapy, Regression and Past Life Therapy, in addition to other traditional tools, Kris enjoys bringing his love of technology and cutting edge solutions together with well researched and modern methods of therapy. This results in a unique combination of tools and methods combined for a synergistic effect that are customized individually for each client. By combining traditional therapeutic techniques with the hypnotic trance state, many client issues can be overcome in a much shorter timeframe than with traditional therapies alone. Jessica works with both adult individuals and adolescents. Her therapeutic orientation is integrative, allowing her to draw from more than one psychological theory and technique. While Jessica has been trained in Transpersonal Psychology, she also uses Existential & Psychodynamic modalities. Jessica has ran groups for high risk adolescent girls focusing on her training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. Jessica believes each client is unique which is why specific techniques used in therapy will always be tailored to meet the client's needs in order to get the client where they want to be. Jessica was trained in Jungian counseling around grief and loss issues. As human beings we are surrounded by loss on a daily basis. Such personal losses could include loss of a child, parent, relative or friend. Other cultural losses include job loss, moving, loss of a pet and loss of fertility. These areas all fall under grief and loss and this is Jessica's main area of concentration as it relates to working with individuals and families. She has volunteered for organizations like Mount Evans Hospice and Home Health Care over the past three years and is also a volunteer buddy at Camp Comfort every summer.
